The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series started a seven-race swing over a 10-day span Thursday at Iowa's 34 Raceway with the $15,555-to-win Slocum 50.

Topping polesitter Tim McCreadie after a lead-swapping battle, Devin Moran took command for good on lap 14 and led the final 37 laps for his second straight Lucas Oil Series victory and fourth of the season. 

Hudson O'Neal finished runner-up more than two seconds behind Moran in his first race rejoining SSI Motorsports, the ride formerly occupied by Ricky Thornton Jr. 

Thornton Jr. earned hard charger honors with his 13th-to-fourth performance in his first race with Koehler Motorsports. McCreadie led twice for five laps — the opening lap and laps 10-13 — but faded to finish sixth. The 50-lapper lasted just 14 minutes, with 10 drivers completing the distance and 18 running at the finish.
