After Wednesday's entertaining Kubota High Limit Racing event at Lake Ozark Speedway had Corey Day win from the 15th-starting spot, the series saw another one of its stars charge through the field Friday at Lucas Oil Speedway.

From the ninth-starting spot Tyler Courtney captured the opening night of the Diamond Classic and its $10,000 paycheck. Brad Sweet finished 1.989 seconds behind Courtney in second.

Courtney led the final six laps of a 30-lap feature that had four different leaders: Sye Lynch from laps one through three, Corey Day from laps four through 10, Lynch from laps 11-16, Brad Sweet from laps 17-24, and Courtney from laps 25 through 30.

Lynch regained control on the 11th lap when Day slowed from the lead with an apparent mechanical failure.
