Castrol FloRacing Night In America Results At Macon Speedway

The fourth season of Castrol FloRacing Night in America presented by Kubota kicked off Tuesday at fifth-mile Macon Speedway in Illinois.

Ricky Thornton Jr. charged from the fifth-starting spot and overtook midrace leader Bobby Pierce with 13 laps remaining to win the first event of the 10-race miniseries season. Thornton topped Jason Feger by 0.591 seconds for the $20,000 payday.

2024 Castrol FloRacing Night in America at Macon Speedway

Pierce led the opening 37 laps before Thornton overtook him by virtue of the eventual race-winning slider, a move that Pierce lost control of his race car and therefore all his track position. He finished sixth after restarting from the tail of the field.
