The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series returned to action on Saturday at Brownstown Speedway after a month-long break, the tour's first race since Feb. 24 at Golden Isles Speedway.

Devin Moran reeled off his fourth overall victory of the season — his first with the series and third over his last six races — by triumphing over Bobby Pierce in an entertaining feature finish that saw six lead changes.

Moran led 17 laps total, including the last 14 circuits, and made enough moves in traffic to get the job done. Pierce, meanwhile, lost the lead when he got bottled up around the bottom in traffic. He led a race-high 18 laps, controlling laps 16 through 20 and laps 23 through 36.

Brandon Sheppard paced the opening 14 laps, but faded to finish seventh, a backslide that happened because he "burned up his left-front tire." Max Blair earned hard-charger by finishing fourth from the 14th-starting spot.

Hudson O'Neal, debuting a part-time deal with Longhorn Chassis engineer Kevin Rumley in his first race after departing Rocket1 Racing, raced from the 16th-starting spot to finish sixth. Tim McCreadie, who takes over the Rocket Chassis house car after O'Neal's departure last week, started third but finished 11th.
