It was the end of an era for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at East Bay Raceway Park on Saturday, as the last-ever Wieland Winternationals race ran course at third-mile oval in its final season of operations.

After nine runner-ups in series competition, Daulton Wilson charged to an emotional breakthrough first win as a third-year touring driver, leading the final 35 laps to produce a memorable moment in the Clay by the Bay's final Georgia-Florida Speedweeks event.

Early leader Tyler Erb led the opening 15 laps and didn't let Wilson off the hook down the stretch but couldn't onto second in the final laps. He finished third. Ninth-starting Brandon Sheppard steadily worked his way forward and finished second. Ricky Thornton Jr. started 20th and finished eighth.

Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Results From East Bay Raceway Park
