The 29th edition of the Dirt Late Model Dream takes place June 8-10 at Eldora Speedway. Many of dirt late model racing's biggest stars will be in action chasing the $129,000 top prize.

Take a look below for need-to-know information about the event and how to watch.

What Is The Dirt Late Model Dream?

The Dirt Late Model Dream is a 100-lap dirt late model race held at Eldora Speedway. Created by Earl Baltes in 1994, the race is known as dirt late model racing's original six-figure payday.

The race originally paid $100,000 to win and continued to pay that amount until 2019 when current track owner Tony Stewart increased the winner's check to $125,000 for the race's 25th edition. From there, the winner's check has increased $1,000 for each edition of the race.

Dirt Late Model Dream Is Still A Dream For Dirt Late Model Racers

Who's Racing The Dirt Late Model Dream?

Many of dirt late model racing's biggest stars are expected to be in action during the 29th Dirt Late Model Dream. Brandon Overton enters the race as the three-time defending winner of the trace.

Jonathan Davenport will look to continue his Eldora dominance following wins in the Eldora Million and the World 100 last year.

Other drivers expected to enter the race include: Chris Madden, Hudson O'Neal, Tim McCreadie, Brandon Sheppard, Bobby Pierce and Ricky Thornton, Jr.

An official entry list for the race will be released by Eldora Speedway on Monday.

What To Expect At Eldora Speedway

With Eldora Speedway's signature "Every Lap Matters" qualifying system, drivers will earn points during qualifying, heat races, last chance showdowns and preliminary features. Points earned on Thursday and Friday will be used to set the lineup for heat races on Saturday prior to the 29th Dirt Late Model Dream.

This qualifying format makes every lap crucial for those who want to walk away from Eldora Speedway with $129,000 at the end of the week.

Brandon Overton and Jonathan Davenport enter the race as favorites to win, but there will be a handful of challengers looking to put an end to their crown jewel dominance at the track. Chris Madden came just a few laps shy of his first Dirt Late Model Dream win last year and should be considered a favorite to win. Mike Marlar, a Castrol FloRacing Night in America winner at the track earlier this season, and current Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series points leader Ricky Thornton, Jr. will also be drivers to keep an eye on.
