Meet the 26 drivers that will be chasing the entire 11-race 2023 High Limit Sprint Car Series schedule.
KANSAS CITY, Kan. — A new era in Sprint Car racing begins Tuesday night at Lakeside Speedway with the opening event of the inaugural High Limit Sprint Car Series season.
A star-studded field of 56 entires have preregistered for the $50,000-to-win event dubbed Shane Stewart’s Heartland of America Showdown presented by Trackhouse.
Let's get to know the 26 drivers that will compete full-time on the 11-race tour that’ll be streamed live on FloRacing:
No. 1 Justin Henderson (Sioux Falls, S.D.)
After parting ways from Sandvig Motorsports, the 2021 Huset’s Speedway champion has reunited with BDS Motorsports — the very team he finished third with in the 2013 Knoxville Nationals — for the full High Limit season.
No. 2MD Conner Morrell (Bradenton, Fla.)
Set to turn 19 years old on April 28, the fresh-faced Morrell is getting his touring fill this season as he balances the full High Limit schedule on his All Star Circuit of Champions rookie tour. Morrell won a FAST Series event last October at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pa.
No. 3J Dusty Zomer (Sioux Falls, S.D.)
The winner of the 2015 World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte tackles the entire High Limit schedule with new crew chief Danny Lasoski.
No. 5T Ryan Timms (Oklahoma City, Okla.)
One of open-wheel racing’s finest prospects sets sail on his first-ever touring season at the wheel of a 410 Sprint Car. Timms won 13 races in a Sprint Car last year, tied for 10th-most in the country.
No. 7BC Tyler Courtney (Indianapolis, Ind.)
Simply known as Sunshine, the open-wheel star and two-time reigning champion with the All Star Circuit of Champions vies for a High Limit title that’d add to his decorative resume.
No. 8 Aaron Reutzel (Clute, Texas)
Following a runner-up season with Knoxville (Iowa) Raceway’s weekly series, the former two-time champion of the All Star Circuit of Champions guns for the High Limit title with Toyota Racing-backed Ridge & Sons Racing.
No. 9 Chase Randall (Waco, Texas)
The 18-year-old looks to climb another rung up Sprint Car racing’s ladder this year competing with the High Limit Series after a third-place points run in his rookie season at Knoxville (Iowa) Raceway.
No. 9P Parker Price-Miller (Indianapolis, Ind.)
With cancer treatments in the rearview, PPM assembles his own team this year for the full High Limit season. The Indianapolis native has an April 2 win this season at Atomic Speedway in Chillicothe, Ohio.
No. 10 Paulie Colagiovanni (Cicero, N.Y.)
A frequent competitor with the Pennsylvania Posse, the seven-time 360 Sprint Car winner from a year ago will take his New York-based team on the road this season with the High Limit Series.
No. 11 Buddy Kofoid (Penngrove, Calif.)
Regarded as one of the finest pure talents in dirt racing, the two-time reigning USAC National Midget Series champion sets his sights on a first-ever Sprint Car touring title with the High Limit Series. Kofoid won March 24’s World of Outlaws event at Alabama’s Talladega Short Track.

No. 13 Justin Peck (Monrovia, Ind.)
Instead of competing on the All Star Circuit of Champions this year, the nine-time winner from a year ago and his Buch Motorsports team will turn their touring focus to the High Limit Series this season. Peck won Feb. 26’s Icebreaker event at Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pa.
No. 15H Sam Hafterepe Jr. (Sunnyvale, Texas)
The five-time American Sprint Car Series champion vies for another title on the resume this season with the High Limit Series. Hafertepe didn’t win in the 410 last year, but did collect seven wins in the 360.
No. 17B Bill Balog (North Pole, Alaska)
The 10-time IRA Sprint Car Series champion better known as the Northpole Nightmare is committed all 11 races on the High Limit schedule this season with B Squared Motorsports. Balog won an All Star Circuit of Champions race last May at Plymouth (Wis.) Dirt Track.
No. 19 Brent Marks (Myerstown, Pa.)
After a career season accentuated by Kings Royal and Historical Big One triumphs in the same week, the 18-time winner in 2022 enters as one of the odds-on favorites to take home High Limit’s highest honors this season.
No. 21 Brian Brown (Grain Valley, Mo.)
One of the sport’s most fan-friendly drivers, the reigning Knoxville (Iowa) Raceway champion takes his familiar No. 21 team on the road this season for a full run with the All Star Circuit of Champions. Brown collected his fifth Knoxville title last year.
No. 22 Riley Goodno (Knoxville, Iowa)
Knoxville (Iowa) Raceway’s busiest weekly competitor who runs both the 410 and 360 divisions at the half-mile, Goodno will try his luck with the High Limit Series this season. Last year he picked up one sprint car victory, a 360 win at Eldon (Iowa) Raceway.
No. 24 Rico Abreu (St. Helena, Calif.)
Always surging in popularity and now in momentum, the two-time World of Outlaws winner this year takes his acing program backed by accomplished crew chief Ricky Warner on the road with the High Limit Series.
No. 39 Justin Sanders (Aromas, Calif.)
The 360 Sprint Car ace from California continues to expand his young ability to the 410 ranks as he heads on the road with the High Limit Series aboard Kevin Swindell’s No. 39 SpeedLab race machine. Two of Sanders’s 14 wins last year were in the 410.
No. 39M Anthony Macri (Dillsburg, Pa.)
Continuing to mature and bolster his ever-growing resume as the seasons progress, the country’s winningest Sprint Car driver from a year ago commits to his first-ever national touring season with the High Limit Series. The 23-time winner last year has a March 26 victory at BAPS Motor Speedway this season.
No. 47 Dylan Westbrook (Scotland, Ont.)
A teammate of Sam Hafertepe Jr.’s, the Canadian is one of 26 drivers to follow the full High Limit tour this season. Westbrook finished fifth in Feb. 13’s Winter Nationals with the All Star Circuit of Champions at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Fla.
No. 48 Danny Dietrich (Gettysburg, Pa.)
One of Pennsylvania Posse’s most influential an opinionated drivers, the former Williams Grove National Open winner teams with World of Outlaws racer Noah Gass for a full High Limit run. Dietrich won 14 races a year ago.
No. 52 Blake Hahn (Saphula, Okla.)
The former American Sprint Car Series champion and grandson of Chili Bowl Nationals founder Emmett Hahn will focus on his 410 Sprint Car program this year with the High Limit Series at the center of those plans. Hahn won the ASCS race at Lakeside last year.
No. 55 Hunter Schuerenberg (Brownsburg, Ind.)
The All Star Circuit of Champions regular will weave the entire High Limit schedule into his busy 2023 trail. Schuerenberg has an April 7 this year with the IRA Sprint Car Series at I-34 Raceway in Burlington, Iowa.
No. 55 Alex Bowman (Tucson, Ariz.)
The NASCAR Cup Series driver and Hendrick Motorsports teammate of High Limit’s co-founder Kyle Larson has grown comfortable enough in the Sprint Car to tackle the full series this season. Bowman finished sixth with the All Star Circuit of Champions on Feb. 13 at Florida’s East Bay Raceway Park.
No. 57 Kyle Larson (Elk Grove, Calif.)
The visionary behind the High Limit Series, the 2021 NASCAR Cup champion should be considered as the odds-on favorite to win the inaugural series title this year. Larson won seven times in a Sprint Car last year.
No. 71 Cory Eliason (Visalia, Calif.)
Aboard Bernie Stuebgen’s speedy No. 71, the Californian will have a puncher’s chance at capturing the inaugural High Limit title this year. Eliason won three times last year and has three top-fives in six races so far in 2023.
