More Sprint Car Fun On Tap Sunday At Lincoln Speedway
The season-opening Icebreaker event for 410 Sprint Cars will conclude Sunday afternoon at Lincoln Speedway.
Following a successful kickoff to the 2023 racing season at Lincoln Speedway on Thursday, the fun will continue Sunday afternoon with another 410 Sprint Car event on tap to conclude Icebreaker weekend.
The traditional event was originally scheduled for Saturday and Sunday; however, track officials took advantage of a beautiful forecast and opened the season on Thursday. Saturday's event was ultimately canceled due to weather, and the event is now set to conclude Sunday afternoon.
410 Sprint Cars will be the only division on Sunday's schedule, with hot laps, heat races, a consolation race and 30-lap feature on the docket. Lincoln Speedway officials have added $1,000 to the purse to make the main event $6,000 to win.
Freddie Rahmer, the defending track champion, won Thursday's season-opening Icebreaker event for the second straight year. A field of 26 Sprint Cars entered the event and 25 cars took the green flag.
On-track action is scheduled to begin with hot laps at 2:30 p.m. ET. Heat racing will begin at 3 p.m. ET.
